Job Description

The Cash Management Sales District Manager II is responsible for the cash management sales activities of the company for a designated region or specialized industries, including the development of new cash management business, the expansion of existing business relationships, and the servicing of customers. This job supervises a staff of Cash Management Sales Officers and Sales Support Specialists in providing service and support to commercial accounts.


  • Must be eligible for employment under regulatory standards applicable to the position.

  • -Provide people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required
    -Manages a Sales Organization which aligns with a large portion of the Commercial & Retail Bank lead by a Regional President and / or Executive Head of a Corporate or Specialty Banking
    -Responsible for retaining and growing the largest customer portfolios and for capturing the highest amount of market share in growth markets.
    -Oversees the development of new business and expansion of existing relationships generated by Cash -Management Sales Representatives
    -Meets regularly with Bank Presidents, Commercial Lenders and other commercial contact associates to ensure ongoing communications with sales process
    Manages and drives sales to maximize productivity and increase market share. Reviews pending sales reports with Cash Management Sales Representatives to ensure sale process is progressing properly
    -Makes prospect and Customer calls to sell commercial services and cross sell other Company products and services
    -Manages assigned regional or specialized industry portfolios in coordination with other appropriate internal personnel
    -Meets periodically with existing customers to ensure proper servicing of accounts and to expand existing business relationships
    -Prepares sales presentations, explains services offered, and recommends those services which would be of value to the customer
    -Prepares extensive management reports summarizing new sales, portfolio and deposit activity
    -Takes accountability for creating a positive Employee experience for their metro and specialized teams as a whole.
    -Exercises authority of a team concerning personnel actions including staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations and terminations
    Supervises staff, assigning, prioritizing and monitoring work
    -Provides leadership, coaching, counseling and guidance to staff
    -Provides input and support to department management decisions
    -Provides back-up support as a secondary officer to other officers accounts within the group
    -Leads business development efforts of group, including monitoring performance to sales goals and for sales and various other incentive programs
    -Represents commercial department at Company functions, business groups and civic organizations to maintain wide referral networks.
    -Joins and participates in outside associations and organizations
    -Contributes to a positive, ethical and respectful working environment and communicates openly with others
    Models Company culture both internally and externally
    Promotes TD Bank in the community with centers of influence, board affiliations and general community involvement
    -Protects the assets of the bank through the proper execution and administration of operational and risk management policies and procedures in compliance with the mandates of the Board of Directors and the laws of the land
    -Reviews and recommends new methods and procedures to make daily operations in the areas more efficient
    Effectively sets the tone from the top regarding expectations for the importance of Risk Management principles evidenced by, but not limited to, completion of online training, documented processes and controls in all departments
    -Ensures effective compliance with all job-relevant State and Federal regulations, including, but not limited to Employee policies, procedures, as well as with all job relevant Risk Management and Corporate standards
    -Establishes oversight of business lines compliance/risk controls and periodically evaluate risk mitigation efforts to make adjustments as risk/department influences change. --Ensures TD Bank maintains successful audits and exams within all areas.


    -4 year degree or equivalent combination of coursework and work experience
    -10+ years progressively responsible banking experience in cash management sales
    -Demonstrates mastery of industry body of knowledge (Banking, Payment Systems, Corporate Treasury Operations) and excellence in calling on largest and most sophisticated prospects (Corporate CFOs, State Treasures)
    -Certified Cash Management professional certification preferred
    -Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, including training and presentation skills
    Analytical and problem solving skills.
    -Proven sales skills, including history of successfully attracting new customers
    -Proven management skills, with ability to coach, train and motivate other salespeople effectively
    -Analytical ability to develop understanding of customer business and cash management needs.
    -Demonstrates negotiation skills with the ability to influence outcomes creatively with a wide variety of customers to mutual benefit
