The Director of Marketing leads the effort to build brand identity and general awareness for Grand Central Terminal, increase Grand Central tenants' sales/foot traffic/exposure, promote a holistic, not-to-be-missed Grand Central visitor experience.. Responsibilities:. Oversee and drive marketing and branding strategy for Grand Central property, tenants, and retail marketing events. Coach, support, and manage marketing team members. Strategic planning for: retail sales promotions, retail marketing events, advertising, creative development, media selection, public relations, tourism, on-site signage. Art direct creative agency: write creative briefs, circulate with stakeholders, issue final creative approvals, coordinate printing and distribution for a range of artwork including, but not limited to: biannual magazine, barricade artwork, directional signage, directory maps, digital assets, photography, video. Manage GCT brand in overall look and usage. Develop retail marketing events and cultural activities that support tenant marketing goals; oversee production of retail marketing events. Manage all digital assets including creation and content; promote tenants and events whenever possible (website, social media, paid digital media). Manage public relations agency including pitch development; coordinate media inquiries/coverage and interviews. Manage relationships with tenant marketing contacts. Prepare for and lead all marketing meetings with client, tenants, and partners. Create, administer, and balance marketing budget. Draft and administer RFPs and contracts for all marketing vendors. Represent GCT in public and community relations; develop cross-promotional partnerships with local organizations. Develop marketing plan for annual Grand Central Holiday Fair event. Manage marketing projects for MTA and Metro-North Railroad, as requested. Qualified candidates must have:. 10+ years of marketing experience; property/destination marketing experience is a plus. Experience with marketing programs e.g. Adobe PhotoShop, InDesign, MS PowerPoint. Experience managing and supporting direct reports. Proven experience acting as a strategic, proactive business partner. Solid experience collaborating with multiple diverse teams, initiating action, making impactful decisions, and accepting accountability and responsibility. Experience with art direction and branding. Advance project management capabilities. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Outstanding relationship building and influencing skills. Ability to connect the dots across organizational, strategic, and other business unit objectives. Strong, confident personality with exceptional interpersonal skills. Ability to negotiate with all levels of management, employees, and vendors. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision and under tight deadlines. #LI.
